Chronology of cameras Canon
The EOS system (Electro-Optical System) represents a complete departure from previous Canon cameras, as everything changes, especially due to the lack of compatibility with FD lenses.
EOS cameras feature sophisticated electronics and excellent autofocus, made possible by the new range of EF lenses with integrated motors (USM). The coupling between the camera body and the lens is now purely electrical. Gone is the small cam that protruded from the rear of FD lenses.
The overall design is new, although it retains some small reminiscences of the T90, designed by Colani.

The name EOS has been retained to designate the digital SLR cameras of the brand.__________
The EOS 1000 FN is a new iteration of the 1000 F. It is distinguished by quieter operation. Indeed, the "N" adopts the belt drive system introduced with the EOS 100.
The shutter now goes down to 1/2000. A new feature, called SF for Soft Focus, allows for artistic blurring automatically. This works by taking two shots: the first is sharp, the second is not. During the second shot, the focus is shifted.
The flash on the 1000 FN activates automatically.
The self-timer no longer emits an electronic beep and can be replaced by a little tune.
The introduction of this new model was accompanied by the release of new lenses with USM motorization. Among them, two zooms, a 35-80 and a 35-105, were sold as kits with the new body.
The kit with the 35-80 zoom was sold for 3300 francs in 1992. The 1000 FN was Canon's entry-level model, with almost everything made of plastic.
